Clay County Cattlemen held their annual Banquet on February 26 and Clair Moding was chosen to receive "Friends of the Industry" award and Larry and Martha Salton were chosen to receive the Cattlemen of the Year award.

Iowa Cattlemen's Association- Steve Stanton & Greg Wood. Ate a total of 3.88 pounds of Prime Rib
Y-100 - Scott Tenclay & Danielle Hitchings. Ate a total of 2.3 pounds
KICD - Troy Leininger and Brent Palm. Ate a total of 3.06 pounds
The Reporter - Paula Buenger & Randy Cauthron. Ate a total of 2.53 pounds
Clay County Cattlemen - Linda Swanson & Chris Wood Ate a total of 3.29 pounds
The contest was held on May 22 at the Prim Rib in Spencer, IA. This was the third annual contest to promote beef during May beef month.
